On the second day at The Isle Of Ely Premier Open Show BIS judge Frank Borg awarded BVIS to Mahon-Hunns, Hunns & Newton’s SH CH Arnac Bay Huron At Bergelle, handled by co-owner Maddy.

Heavy traffic in all directions delayed arriving to Stoneleigh for the URC Open Show by up to an hour. 10 Chesapeakes entered for judge Bev Dummett, 9 were bitches (1a) and the only dog was absent. One of the breed’s most prolific show supporters is Kirsty Watts had entered 6 of the 10 dogs. Kirsty said it’s not all about winning it’s about taking part and supporting. BOB & BB Mayhew & McCartney’s’ BB’s Chesapeake Breeding Dory For Arnac (imp CHE), winning through from the Junior class; RBOB Watts’ Oakmarsh Little Acorn JW; BP Morris’ Penrose Water Pistol. David Howarth was the BIS judge.

Watts’ Oakleaf Manor Bay Of Oakmarsh JW, SGWC, 1st AVG Working. Breed judge  Elaine Bradley, AV judge Harry Nelson.

At Guildford & District Open Show new judge and Chesapeake owner Amie Mellersh-Tait received an entry of 3, 1a. BOB Middleton and Mayhew’s LUX. BEL CH Arnac Bay Jellicoe JW; RBOB Corcoran and Jones’ Oakmarsh Kinsley Adsila. In AV Veteran judge Mr Ashley Frost awarded VHC to Middleton and Mayhew’s SH CH/INT/Multi CH Arnac Bay Hebe WGC SHCEX EW22 WW24.
